Beach Bag Reusable Wet Bag

Hibernate (LOW STOCK)
Winter (LOW STOCK)

Reusable wet bags were designed to help cloth nappying parents keep soiled nappies away from their clean nappies while out and about, but have since been embraced by people in all walks of life as an excellent practical alternative to plastic bags. They are made from a special water-resistant fabric called polyurethane laminate (PUL) and as such, are useful for a variety of purposes that require keeping something damp away from something dry (or vice versa!).

Australian consumers currently use 3.92 billion plastic bags each year, and these bags have an average life of 12 minutes. The estimated time for breakdown of these bags is between 20 and 1000 years, depending on the conditions.

Now is the time to ditch our love affair with plastic and the useful wet bag is a great way to help us do that.

A family day at the beach with an infant shouldn’t need the logistics of Napoleon, or the load-carrying capacity of a military transporter. That’s why we love our Seedling Baby Beach Bag. Colour coordinated to match the popular Paddle Pants, these handy bags can fit swimmers, a towel, clean dry clothes or a day's worth of cloth nappies.

Designed to keep damp clothing and nappies away from your dry items, but it is not recommended for use with items that are soaked or dripping wet.

Measurements: approximately 50 cm x 40 cm.

Wondering if you could use some wet bag goodness in your life? Here are just some of things our family has used wet bags for:

  • As reusable gift wrap
  • Overnight bag with spare change of clothes, pyjamas, small toiletry bag and toy
  • One for each child to place on their bedroom door for dirty clothes
  • To store cloth nappies and training pants when out and about – one for the clean nappies/pants and another to hold the soiled ones
  • Toiletries
  • Swim gear and beach towel
  • Makeshift change mat
  • Games and toy storage (great for grouping ie, doll’s clothes, toy cars, play jewellery, dress-ups)
  • Library bag
  • Gym gear
  • First aid kit
  • Reusable wipes (damp or dry)
  • Change of clothes for a day out
  • Reusable shopping bags – excellent for cold/frozen items and items that could leak
  • Picnic sack
  • To hold a sewing or knitting project that we don’t want getting mixed up with other sewing supplies
Washing Instructions

Step 1. Flush solids, or run newborn nappies through a rinse cycle or use a nappy sprayer, to rid them of less-than-solid poo.
Step 2. Nappies can be stored in a wet bag or bucket for up to two days before washing.
Step 3. When you have enough nappies for a wash load, put nappies through a warm rinse with half-strength detergent.
Step 4. Wash nappies on a long cycle up to 60°C with the amount of detergent recommended by the detergent manufacturer for your load size and water level.
Step 5. Line dry or tumble dry on a low setting.

Sturdy design, generously sized but folds up small. So easy to wash and pretty to boot!

So handy!

Great size, great quality - I like it so much I’ve just ordered some more!

This bag is the perfect in-between size - larger than a regular sized wet bag, but not as cumbersome as some of the XL bags out there. Easy peasy with just the one pocket and the snap-together handle. I bought 3 for when my son goes to daycare next year (more than enough room for all the nappies AND mucky play clothes) but, honestly, I might need more!

The best

I have several of these which I use on roation for dirty nappies at home. They are the perfect size I think for a days worth.
