WARRANTY INFORMATION

At Seedling Baby, we strive to provide the very best customer service, along with the highest quality products for you and your little ones to enjoy.

Each of our products is intended for use only for the purpose described and not for any other purpose. Naturally, any item to be used by a child requires careful adult selection and use should be under proper adult supervision. Items must only be used by children of an appropriate age.

Our goods comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

We guarantee our product against defects in materials and manufacturing faults for a period of 6 months from date of purchase. For goods that are deemed to be faulty we will refund or replace as long as they were purchased within the last 6 months. Please note that your warranty extends from the date of purchase and not from the date of first use.

**We will require proof of the purchase date so please keep your receipt.**

Please note that we can only repair, replace or refund products under warranty if your product was purchased new from an authorised stockist or directly from us. If you have a problem with your product please contact the stockist through whom you purchased the goods by telephone or email. In some instances, they will be able to provide you with a replacement on site.

If you purchased directly from us, please fill out the form below.

Please note:

We make every effort to supply products that are of an acceptable quality. Products are of an acceptable quality if they are:

  • safe, durable and free from defects
  • acceptable in appearance and finish; and
  • do all the things that the goods are ordinarily used for.

The warranty provided covers products that do not meet this standard, however the warranty does not cover:

FIT
While our products have been designed as one-size-fits-most, they are not guaranteed to fit all babies at all stages. Most babies will fit the multi-fit products from birth to potty training or between 4 and 16 kilograms. Some babies will go through a stage (usually just before they begin walking) when the nappies may seem to be a tight fit. Babies change shape regularly and your baby will likely fit comfortably into the nappies in a few weeks time. The sizing suggestions are a guide only and are in no way a guarantee to fit.

WEAR AND TEAR
The warranty does not cover wear and tear over time. Cloth nappies are a high rotation product and wear and tear can include thinning/tearing of fabrics over time, gradual slackening of elastic and reduced capacity to absorb. The warranty does not cover deterioration of elastic in nappies over 6 months.

LEAKING
Some babies are light wetters and require only light absorbency. Other babies seem to outwet everything. The most important step you can take to reduce the incidence of leaking and to protect your baby from rash is to change at least every 2 hours during the day, or as soon as you know they have soiled the nappy. Our pocket nappies are not designed for night time use on babies who are sleeping through and overstuffing them could result in leaks and damage to the elastics.

As most wet bags have sewn seams (rather than heat taped seams), they are not designed to hold soaked or dripping items, but to keep damp clothing/nappies away from your dry gear (or vice versa).

HEAT
Extreme temperatures can have a detrimental effect on almost anything. Plants die, animals suffer and material fades. Our products contain components which are more susceptible to heat than most items of clothing. Prolonged exposure to heat (whether from the sun, a heater or a tumble dryer) will damage the waterproofing, elastics and natural fibres of your products. During periods of extreme heat, please dry your nappies, covers and wet bags in the shade or inside. Do not dry over a radiator or tumble dry at high heat. Nappy shells should not be tumble dried at all. Damage to products as a result of exposure to high or prolonged heat is not considered a manufacturing defect.

INCORRECT CARE
The warranty does not cover products which have been cared for in an incorrect manner. This includes, but is not limited to, tumble drying the outer shells, incorrect hanging, overstuffing the pocket so that undue pressure is placed on the opening, the use of fabric softener, bleach and vinegar. It is important to wash nappies every other day to avoid deterioration of the nappy fabric. How long a nappy lasts is dependent on a number of factors, including care, number of nappies in rotation and the child's urine. Warranty is also void if the product is modified in any way.

DETERGENTS
The use of homemade or mixed detergents will void your warranty.

SECOND-HAND PRODUCTS
The warranty does not cover products that have been purchased second-hand. All warranty claims must be accompanied by your original receipt from an authorised stockist.

MOULD
Mould is extremely damaging to cloth nappies and related products and is not covered under the warranty. Likewise, any procedure or products which may be used to remove mould will void the warranty. It is true that vinegar can, in some cases, remove mould from your nappies. Vinegar can be damaging in high dosages and will void your warranty, however if the mould is bad enough that it requires significant amounts of vinegar, the warranty is void anyway.

All products returned for warranty claims must be returned clean, dry and odour free.

We are confident you’ll be 100% happy with your purchase; if you have any questions, please contact us at info@seedlingbaby.com.au.
