Parenting on a budget? Hey, it's 2024. Who isn't?!

This month, we have a series of blog posts to help you save money and stress less while raising your beautiful babies. This week, it's all about you and your other half. Ways to keep the love alive that won't break the bank.

  1. Cook a late dinner together and eat by candlelight.

  2. Play a board game.

    {HINT for Love Tip #2: If you don’t own the Pictionary board game, you can find free word lists here.}

  3. Write and send a family update.

  4. Set some family and personal goals.

  5. Create a vision board for your goals.

  6. Play cards – learn a new card game each month.

  7. Group date! Host a couples games night with a few friends and share the babysitter.

  8. Watch a movie.

  9. Look through photo albums.

  10. Do a workout together.

  11. Have an in-house wine and cheese night.

  12. Dance.

  13. Play charades.

  14. Go hiking together. If you can’t get a babysitter, pop bub in the Caboo and hit the trail as a family.

  15. Volunteer at a soup kitchen.

  16. Share: what 3 things do you want to be remembered for?

  17. Make milkshakes.

  18. Switch off for a whole weekend = bliss!

  19. Share your dreams.

  20. Give each other a back rub.

  21. Feed the children first, then eat dinner together while the kids play, read or watch a movie.

  22. Camp in the lounge room. Toast marshmallows, share stories, sleep on a mattress in sleeping bags by the fire.

  23. Have a themed night in. Pick a country, cook a traditional dish from that country. Listen to that country’s music while you cook and finish the night in front of a movie based in that country. Pick a new country each month.

  1. Make hot chocolate on the stove using real chocolate and cream.

  2. Work on a home improvement project together.

  3. Play “would you rather...”

  4. YouTube it! Cook some popcorn and spend the evening watching silly or serious YouTube videos.

  5. Go berry picking.

  6. Share: 5 people who have had an impact on you.
