Cómodo Wrap Nappy Cover Size Comparison Guide

What is a Cómodo Wrap?

Let's start at the beginning: what is a Cómodo Wrap? Very simply, it's a nappy cover or wrap.

The Cómodo Wrap is essentially the waterproof component of a two-part nappying system.

It is intended to be used over top of an absorbency layer, whether that be a fitted nappy, a flat cloth nappy, or a prefold style nappy.

The wrap can be used with prefolds that are fitted around baby with a snappi or pins, or simply to hold boosters that are laid inside it.

The Cómodo Wrap is made from one layer of waterproof fabric, which means you can wipe it clean and reuse it with fresh boosters or a fresh fitted/flat nappy.

Our Cómodo Wraps come in three sizes to suit children from birth right through to 5 years+.

What do they all have in common?

  • All of our Cómodo Wraps have a wipeable inner so you can wipe and air dry between changes.
  • They all fasten with a double row of snaps.
  • All snap placements are reinforced with double fabric.
  • Cómodo Wrap Mini has 3 rise settings through the front of the crotch while Cómodo Wrap and Cómodo Wrap+ have 4 rise settings through the front of the crotch.

Cómodo Wrap Mini (2-6 kg)

This nappy cover was designed specifically with premature and newborn babies in mind. We know that our regular size cover can be quite bulky on little babies, so if your baby is expected to be much under 4 kg from birth, we definitely recommend starting with a Cómodo Wrap Mini. The covers can be used over flats, prefolds and fitted nappies and have 3 rise settings so they can be adjusted as your baby grows.

The cover features a dip at the front to provide for newborn cord care and is designed to fit most babies between 2 and 6 kg. Once the cover is no longer fitting comfortably around you baby’s waist and over the nappy underneath, it’s time to upsize.

Cómodo Wrap (4-16 kg)

Back in 2013, we were playing around with lots of different options for our 5th baby for nights. We settled on a terry flat with a bamboo booster, but didn’t have a cover that fit over the top, so we grabbed a Seedling Baby pocket shell and used that for a week or two. Our original Cómodo Wrap was born. Essentially the same sizing as our pocket nappy shell, the Cómodo Wrap has lots of wriggle room to go over even the biggest fitted or flat nappy combo and is perfect for parents who want something that fits from birth right through to approximately 16 kg.

We loved using the Cómodo Wrap for our fifth and sixth babies and can recommend it as a reliable, cost-effective option for parents who want a cover that grows with their baby. This is our most popular nappy cover and is designed to fit babies between 4 and 16 kg.

Cómodo Wrap+ (15-25 kg)

Designed to fit over reusable night nappy solutions for children between 15 and 25 kg, the Cómodo Wrap+ is a comfortable alternative to disposables for older children. The fit for these covers is largely dependent on the size of the child and this image shows the Comodo Wrap+ on a 7 year old child over 2 Diversifold+ prefolds.

They have been tested on children up to 25 kg, but exact fit range for your child will depend more on their build, than on their weight. The smallest size setting on the Comodo Wrap+ is about the same as the largest size setting on the Comodo Wrap, so once your child gets to the point where you need all rise snaps open on the Comodo Wrap, it’s time to consider upsizing.
